AquaSpec™ technology allows you to measure aqueous samples e.g. proteins using mid IR spectroscopy. The technology of micro-biolytics is characterized by the following features:
high information content, up to molecular details of individual functional groups in biomolecules
- fast method of measurement for the characterization of dynamic processes in biomolecules
- biomolecules can be investigated in their native state (i.e. not immobilized and in aqueous solution)
- easy sample preparation

The head of the scientific advisory board of micro-biolytics, Prof. Dr. D. Wolf, is given the ‚Landesforschungspreis 2007’.
Prof. Dr. Frankenberg, Minister of Science of Baden-Württemberg presented this tribute to Prof. Wolf to honour
„outstanding research results and excellent researchers“.

In 2006, micro-biolytics was evaluated by the European Commission (IRMM/EC) in BSE diagnostics:
the ante mortem BSE test based on the AquaSpec™ Technology.

For the expansion of laboratory-, production- as well as service-space, mbio has moved to a new location
at Esslingen (Stuttgart). The expansion was necessary to cope with increasing service and production demands
regarding the AquaSpecTM Technology.
